Location Located at the foot of Brandon Mountain (Cnoc Bréanainn) and with Smerwick Harbour and the Three Sisters as our magnificent backdrop, this Dingle Bed and Breakfast offers you the ideal place to get away from it all. In Irish, Bóthar ("bo-har") means 'road'. So it is that the pub is by the roadside, on the famous Slea Head Drive. It leads to historic Brandon Creek (Cuas an Bhodaigh) and connects the small village of Cuas with the outside world.

Directions The Dingle Peninsula (Corca Dhuibhne), situated in County Kerry in Southwest Ireland, contains Europe's most westerly point. Dingle is easily accessible from Tralee, Killarney and Kerry Airport. Once you arrive at Dingle, continue to Milltown roundabout and go north to Cuas for about 6 miles (10km) until you see this sign at a fork in the road: Turn right and continue for about 2 miles (3km) more. You can't miss it: An Bothar Pub & Guesthouse is on the left with Ireland's second highest mountain on the right!

Rooms The Bóthar Pub offers excellent, modern accommodation in a new purpose-built guesthouse. All the spacious bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower, direct dial telephone, TV, hairdryer and ironing facilities. The guesthouse also provides a limited washing and drying facility as well as cots and baby monitors, if required. The Guesthouse is open for accommodation all year round except on December 24th and 25th and the accommodation is suitable for families and groups as well as travellers and walkers.

Restaurant During the day the An Bothar Pub & Guesthouse offers a variety of bar food, including wonderful local seafood served with delicious homemade brown bread. In the evening there is a more extensive menu on offer, and you can choose to eat in either the bar or the beautiful new dining room. Special menus can be arranged for groups and vegetarians can be catered for.

Pub The Bóthar Pub is an old-world pub that offers all the facilities a visitor needs to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Relax by our open fire and enjoy the company of local people who are always willing to include tourists into the conversations. Many have lived abroad and have many interesting stories to tell. Hear them speak in their own native language. Traditional music sessions take place in the Bóthar Pub on many nights throughout the year - and are often accompanied by enthusiastic Irish set dancing. During the Summer, there is live music in the bar on at least 5 nights each week. During other seasons, sessions usually take place every Saturday night, with impromptu sessions likely on Friday, and sometimes Sunday nights.

General A relaxing family run establishment. At the foot of Mount Brandon an ideal base for walking and fishing holidays. Evening meals available using home grown and locally produced ingredients. Home baking a speciality. Spectacular sunsets. Evening entertainment regularly.
