A new member recently joined the Hotelsireland.com “hotel family” and we are really excited about it – so I’ve decided to introduce this member to you: the Athlone Springs Hotel
The Athlone Springs Hotel is a modern 4 star hotel in Monksland, a little village close to Athlone in County Westmeath. It is a great place for an exciting weekend break – and if you don’t want to, you won’t even have to leave the hotel! There is everything you can dream of on-site: Restaurant, Bar, Fitness Centre and Spa! What more do you want? Ladies, you can spend a day at the spa while your men can hang out in the bar – problem solved!
The rooms are all very spacious and ultra-modern. And you wouldn’t believe how comfy those beds are! You will not want to leave them – ever again! There is also a big TV and free WiFi in each bedroom, as well as all of the other luxuries you would expect from a modern 4 star hotel.
You can enjoy a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant, the Cedar Restaurant. The dishes on the menu are varied to make sure that there is definitely something on offer for everyone. You can have a look at the menu here. But you can also leave the hotel to get something to eat. There are several restaurants in Athlone, like the Thyme Restaurant or the Olive Grove Restaurant.
But what to do with the rest of your time during your stay? Believe it or not – there is so much to do, 2 days won’t even be enough!
Let’s start inside of the hotel: As a guest of the Athlone Springs Hotel you have complimentary used of their Fitness Centre. Here you can do any workout you can think of, cool off in the pool or take a fun fitness class. And not to forget, there is Zen Spa on-site, too, with a huge range of massage- and beauty treatments.
And if you leave the hotel, there is even more to do! Nearby tourist attractions that are worth checking out, include: Athlone Castle, Clonmacnoise, Derryglad Folk Museum and Belvedere House. Little ones will have loads of fun at the Glendeer Pet Farm. Golfers will be happy to hear that Athlone Golf Course and Mount Temple Golf Course are nearby and what makes us girls happier than a good bit of retail therapy at Athlone town centre or Ballinahown Irish Design Craft Village.
So make sure to visit the Athlone Springs Hotel and the Westmeath area soon – it is really worth it!
